Landscaping Project Underway

Posted by Richard Ellwanger on 01/26/2014

Workers labor hard over the weekend to install trees and shrubs before the cold weather arrives (again) on Monday. The plantings are part of the first phase of a long-awaited landscaping of the museum's renovated exterior. Phase One, which improves the museum's front (west) facade, includes the installation of a sprinkler system throughout the grounds, new drainage systems, stone-lined flower beds and an assortment of Oklahoma-friendly plants to accent and compliment the unique architecture of the 80 year-old iconic building.

Funds for Phase One were provided through the 2013 "April Shower" and our 2013 membership drive. Thanks to all that contributed!
